Synopsis Through robbery and killing a band of thieves gets hold of a plan which shows the way to an immense treasure in the Silver Lake. However, due to the size and the value of the treasure they fight among themselves. An old Indian, the treasure keeper, starts a mechanism which destroys the cave. Angry surviving thieves decide to kill the prisoners, but the Utah tribe comes at the last moment with Old Schatterhand and Winettou. The treasure will remain buried in the Silver Lake forever.

Directors Biography Dr. Harald Reinl (1908 Austria - 1986 Spain) was an Austrian film director. He is especially known for the movies he made based on Edgar Wallace and Karl May books. He started his career as extra in mountain-films of Arnold Fanck. Reinls first movie as director was Bergkristall (1949).
