Guests of the 6th ZFF |
This year ZFF will once again host some of the most important names in the movie industry. Our old mates Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon, directors, screenwriters and main characters in the hit comedy Rumba that will open the festival, will be our guests alongside the B&H crew that made the feature film Snow – director Aida Begić, director of photography Erol Zubčević and producer Elma Tataragić, as well as Christophe Van Rompaey, director of the romantic comedy Moscou – Belgium, multiple Cannes laureate.
We also expect the arrival of Jeremy Gilley, director of the documentary The Day After Peace and the initiator of setting September 21st as the International Day of Peace, as well as Nina Pourlak and Sebastian Lempe, director and cameraman of the Heroes at Work documentary, we will see the Iranian director Rokhsareh Ghaemmaghami (Cyanosis) and our old acquaintance Jan Cvitkovič whose short film I Know will be featured as a part of our short film program.
The eminent British director and publicist Stephen Lowenstein will present the Croatian version of his new book, My First Movie: Take Two, on the 6th ZFF, in which ten famous directors - Richard Linklater, Richard Kelly, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Takeshi Kitano, Shekhar Kapur, Émir Kusturica, Agnès Jaoui, Lukas Moodysson, Terry Gilliam and Sam Mendes told him about their experience from directing their first films. You will be able to see some of these firstborns featured in the book as a part of our My first film program.
We are also very proud that Marco Solari, director of the Locarno Film Festival and president of the Ticino county tourism council will also attend the festival, as well as Nikolai Nikitin – an emissary from Berlinale for eastern Europe, movie producer Mike Downey and Bernd Buder, a film critic and free curator that is well remembered for the excellent choice of films in the 4th ZFF Bunker program. |
