The 6th Zagreb Film Festival was launched yesterday in SC cinema. Festival director Boris T. Matić and producer Hrvoje Laurenta first and foremost thanked the sponsors, audience and guests. Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić greeted all filmophiliacs in Zagreb and opened the 6th ZFF by saying: 'I promise that next year in June we will all meet in the new Tuškanac cinema that we will renovate by then. I believe that the best film will win this year since all members of the jury are ladies'.

The numerous and merry audience were then greeted by directors of the opening film 'Rumba', Dominique Abel and Fiona Gordon, whose humorous speech in combination with the equally funny simultaneous translation by ZFF's Mario Dobrić caused a roaring applause. After the start was filled with good mood, we had a little disappointment, that is, the post shipment containing the highly anticipated lost film ‘Agram' directed by Oktavijan Miletić has been lost again, this time in the ‘endless vortex of German post', and Daniel Rafaelić of Croatian Cinotheque promised that the audience will have a chance to see the film by the end of the festival.

The film fest started with the projection of 'Rumba' and continued with music and dance until late in the night. You can check photos from the opening night here.
