Peruvian film wins in Berlin |
| 59th International Film Festival in Berlin has come to an end, and the main prize, Golden Bear, went to Peruvian film 'La teta asustada' directed by Claudia Llosa. This is second year in a row that Berlinale awarded a film from Latin America (last year's winner, Brasilian 'Elite Squad' closed 6th ZFF). The grand jury headed by actress Tilda Swinton also awarded dramedy 'Gigante' (Argentina/Urugvay) and German film 'Alle Anderen'. A Romanian- Dutch coproduction 'The Happiest Girl in the World', directed by Radu Jude whose short film 'Lampa cu caciula' competed on 5th ZFF was shown as a part of Berlinale side programme Forum. |
