Marit Kapla is born 1970 in Sweden. From 1989 to1992 studied at Stockholm University, Department of Journalism, Media and Communication. From 1992 to 2005 she was journalist, mainly in the field of culture and entertainment and studied at Karlstad University, Department of Literature (1993-1994). Was researcher and editor at the weekly film review Filmkrönikan at national broadcaster Sveriges Television in Göteborg (2003-2005) and Programme Co-ordinator, Göteborg International Film Festival (2005-2007). At the moment she is Festival Director, Göteborg International Film Festival.
Šejla Kamerić is born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina 1976. Lives in Sarajevo and Berlin. In 1999 she completed studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Department of Graphic Design. From 1997 to 2000 Šejla worked as Art Director in the creative team Fabrika in Sarajevo. In her work she uses mainly photography and video as media juxtaposing an explicit social context with intimate perspectives. She exibits frequently, solo and in the groups. Her debut short film, What Do I Know was awarded with Golden Pram for the best short feature at the 5th Zagreb Film Festival.
Nadine Luque graduated in Law and Business Finance and subsequently has worked in the international film business for over twenty years, initially based in Spain and latterly in the UK. While based in Madrid, Nadine worked for the Quincentennial Commission (part of the Ministry of Culture) where she was part of the founding team of the International Film and Television Sales division. She then joined the European Union's professional training initiative for film and television, the Media Business School where she was deputy director. Upon returning to the UK, she worked for Lord Puttnam as part of the film policy unit for the then Labour party and then co-founded and was Managing Director of the Arista Story Editor Workshops. Nadine then established the UK office of Lolafilms UK, the English language production division of what was Spain's most successful vertically integrated film company, during her time as Head of Production Lolafilms UK produced a number of titles including John Malcovich's The Dancer Upstairs with Javier Bardem and Laura Morante. After starting a family, Nadine became director of the Film Business School and took time to negotiate the publishing of six Sudoku books in Italy through Fandango Libri before returning to independent production co-producing Gabrielle Muccino's ‘Remember Me' with Monica Bellucci, Fabrizio Bentivoglio and Laura Morante and producing ‘A Throw of Dice', rescored by the popular Anglo Indian musician Nitin Sawhney and the London Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Nadine has produced Francois Girard's ‘Silk' with Keira Knightley, Alfred Molina and Michael Pitt. Nadine has a number of features in development and is currently working on establishing a global online independent film channel ZINI. Nadine has been a member of the jury of Berlin based professional training initiative NIPKOW Programme for 15 years.
Born in 1975 in Zagreb Dana Budisavljević Graduated from Academy of Drama Arts, Department of Film and TV Editing. Works in documentary as editor, scriptwriter, director and producer. Received several domestic awards for her work in documentaries including Best Editing (Years of Rust, 2000), Grand Prix (Sve 5!, debut as director 2005) and TV viewers award "Večernjakov Ekran" for the best documentary series Great Shipwrecks of the Adriatic Sea in 2007. In 2006, together with a colleague Olinka Vištica, Dana founds Hulahop Film and Art Production which currently produces documentary youth series Mijenjam svijet for Croatian national television and several short films. Hulahop also provides production services for World Festival of Animated Film - Animafest Zagreb and curates world wide successful art project Museum of Broken Relationships.
Avishag Leibovich was born in Arad, Israel, in 1980. (96- 98) graduated Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong. (2002 - 2007) graduated Sam Spigel Accadmy for Film and television. 'Diet Leibovich', screened at the 4th Zagreb Film Festival is her third-year documentary film. At the moment she is Film Director for the Israeli children channel and working on her first documentary feature.
Saša Vojković was born in Zagreb in 1957. She graduated film and TV directing from the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb and took her MA in film studies from the Amsterdam University. Faculty of Philology of the Amsterdam University awarded her with a PhD scholarship. She lectured at the Film Studies, Comparative Literature and European Studies Department of the Amsterdam University. Taking her PhD degree (published as the book Subjectivity in the New Hollywood Cinema: Fathers, Sons and Other Ghosts, Amsterdam, 2001) she won a postdoctoral scholarship from the Humanity Department of the University of Hong-Kong and has worked as a lecturer and researcher of Asian film, particularly Hong-Kong film. She has published scientific articles in Micropolitics of Media Culture: Reading the Rhizomes of Deleuze and Guattari (edited by Patricia Pisters, Amsterdam, 2001) and the magazines European Journal of Semiotic Studies, Parallax, Brief: ASCA Yearbook (Issues in Cultural Analysis), New Review of Film and Television.
Sara Hribar was born in Zagreb in 1986. Croatian director and writer completed Classic High School in Zagreb and the piano in music school Blagoje Barsa. She studies film and TV directing at the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb and collaborates as a writer with the Croatian National Television. She was awarded Golden Pram for film „Pusti me da spavam" (2007) screened in the program Checkers of the fifth Zagreb Film Festival. Among others, she also authored films „Pričaj mi o ljubavi" (2008) and „Libertango" (2008).
Diana Nenadić is a filmologist. She was born in Zagreb in 1962, where she graduated political sciences. She works as the editor of film program on the Croatian radio 3, film columnist in magazine Vijenac, editor in chief of Zapis and editor of Croatian film almanac. She is employed in the Croatian Film Association. She is the only woman film critic who won twice the award of film critics Vladimir Vuković.
Nataša Janjić was born in Split in 1981. Upon graduating high school in 2000 she enrolls school of journalisam in Zagreb and acting at the Academy of Drama Arts in the class of Neva Rošić and Koraljka Hrs. She opted for the latter one and graduated in 2004. She began her acting career in the Youth Theatre in Split and continued it in Zagreb. She acts in theatre and in films. Films: ''Kenjac'' (2009), ''Pravo čudo'' (2006), ''Sve džaba'' (2005), ''Volim te'' (2005). She does synchronization of cartoon series and films and performes in radio dramas. |
