International Film Festival in Locarno: ambassador of Italianhood?

The most important cultural manifestation of Canton Ticino, the film festival in Locarno, is currently seen as one of the most important film events in the world. Thanks to this, in the mind of Swiss cultural and political advocates - the irreplaceable annual event, it was possible to highlight the image of Ticino as a region of great tourist attraction.
The festival, which is international in terms of its invitations and atmosphere, but also very connected to Italian culture, thus directly contributes to profiling of Ticino and its linguistic minority within the Swiss political and economic context.
What future holds in store for little Switzerland, the bridge between North and South of the European continent and beyond? How can we participate in creating the destiny of Canton Ticino (Lombardy, Piedmont and Alps) divided among Lombardy, Piedmont and Alps?
Bidding on the tourism card and the willingness to host great cultural events, the Canton and the city of Locarno, already the hosts of many historical events that changed the fate of Europe, will have to convincingly and with new means support this Festival in order to keep on voicing out embarrassments, drawbacks and dreams of new generations in the heart of the Old Continent and in the center of the old discussion about the future of our planet.
