Script writing Workshop Palunko on Zagreb Film Festival
Organized by the Croatian Film Clubs Association, the script writing workshop Palunko will take place on Zagreb Film Festival October 20-25. Sixth year in a row it is a place for beginners in script writing eager to learn and improve. The project is dedicated to systematic education in script writing conducted in the form of script competitions, discussions and workshops attended by more than fifty students so far whose scripts have been turned into three short films in the last two years. This year too, after the workshop, the mentors will choose the best script which will be turned into a film next year and produced by the Croatian Film Clubs Association and Propeler film. The film will have a premier on the next Zagreb Film Festival. This year's edition of Palunko will last five days and twenty participants will be selected through a public call for proposals. The participants will develop their ideas into scripts for short films under supervision of three mentors. The mentors are: Tomislav Zajec, assistant lecturer in the Department of Script Writing at the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb, Irena Krčelić, script writer (HRT, RTV Slovenia, RTL...) and Goran Tribuson, lecturer at the Academy of Drama Arts, novelist and script writer ("Ne dao bog većeg zla", "Crvena prašina", "Polagana predaja"...). Each of them will work with a group of four participants and introduce them to the basics of the script writing as well as assist them in creating their own scripts. Besides, all participants will have a pitching workshop after which they will present their works publicly. |
